North Simcoe Muskoka Hospice Palliative Care Network

Melody is a seasoned health care professional with over 30 years of private and public sector experience who has an extensive knowledge of systems, quality improvement and project management processes in health care. Melody is a Provincial Clinical Co-Lead with the Ontario Palliative Care Network and is currently the Clinical Nurse Manager for the North Simcoe Muskoka Hospice Palliative Care Network. She has a Master’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s of Science in Wound Management and Tissue Repair. Melody has a broad understanding of the health care system in all sectors, as she has worked closely with numerous stakeholders over the last decade to improve the quality of person-centred palliative care provided to patients within Ontario. Melody has focused on the development and implementation of several Palliative programs that have been instrumental in improving the quality of evidence based palliative care to patients and is conducting research utilizing the experience based co design approach with palliative patients and their family members.
