Argin Malakian is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s Department of Supportive Care. In his clinical role, Argin provides psychological care in the form of psychotherapy to adults with life-limiting cancers and their caregivers, including parents of children with cancer through his cross-appointment at the Hospital for Sick Children. As a PhD candidate at the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, Argin focuses his research on the patient experience and supportive care needs of adults living with life-limiting blood cancers. His work is supported by the Oncology Nursing Foundation, the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology, and the Canadian Nurses Foundation, highlighting his commitment to advancing oncology nursing and supportive care in cancer.
